Vortex Centrum Limited - Publishers

Vortex Centrum Limited was one of the first e-publishers, before the term "new media" was in common use. Launched in 1999, Vortex Centrum began with the publication of World Money Laundering Report, a journal for compliance and risk management officers in financial institutions and those who make and enforce law and regulation.

In 2002, we launched World Money Laundering Report: Online, a daily news service. In due course that became BankingInsuranceSecurities.Com which now covers dozens of vertical market areas within the financial sector, many with their own title.

That year, we also launched QuickToLearnMore.Com, a specialist e-learning platform to train those in banks, insurance companies, securities dealers and many more in relation to countering money laundering and terrorist financing.

In 2006, we launched ChiefOfficers.Net, a comprehensive news, opinion and resources website for senior officers across the spectrum of industry and management. Again, the site is divided into vertical market areas with many having their own title.

In 2016, we put out for beta testing our most ambitious web project. PleaseBeInformed.com incorporates several existing properties and many new ones. It is one of the most exciting developments in web-publishing for many years. It's not social media as you know it: it remove the disadvantages of social media in business while retaining all of its good elements. As development has continued, the social media elements have been removed and PleaseBeInformed.com is now even more like a traditional newspaper - but with an authoritative and reasoned voice, carrying no political or religious affiliations but not afraid to comment on those issues and pretty much anything else - with a mission to do so with accuracy, balance and dignity plus a dose of humour where apt. Oh, and it's in English.

But that's not our only major project: when we launched Quick To Learn More, our e-learning platform in 2002, it was groundbreaking - and its tech was so advanced that no major changes have been needed despite the arrival (and departure) of Adobe's Flash, of new standards in displays, of the development of mobile services and access and many more. In 2017, though, changes in the operating systems which underpin Quick to Learn More meant that we faced a total re-write. And so, in 2018, we decided to retire the original platform and to use the same basic tech as all of our other websites. The new platform is just as easy to use as our original platform but with a number of very significant improvements. As we get closer to launch, we will release more information.

Vortex Centrum Limited is subsidiary of The Anti Money Laundering Network Limited, a Hong Kong registered holding company. See for full information.
