Now legislation has squeaked through the parliamentary process with a majority of less than 5%. And many amendments some aimed at defeating the law and some at tightening it were defeated.

But passing law isn't the same as applying law.

The next few months will be interesting.

Whatever happens, don't pay attention to Public Relations statements - they cannot be anything but wishful thinking.
